Case Overview
Delayed implant placement at position 12 using the VPI Pilot Drill Kit for precise osteotomy centering. The Pilot Drill sleeve eliminates freehand variability during the critical first drill entry.
1.Initial situation
Healed edentulous site at position 12 with adequate ridge dimensions for implant placement without augmentation.
2. Guided osteotomy initiation
Sleeve #7I centers and initiates the pilot osteotomy at the correct position and angulation, setting the trajectory for the entire drilling sequence.
3. Implant placement
With the trajectory established, the remaining drilling was completed using the implant system’s standard kit. The implant was placed into the centered osteotomy.
4. Final position
Implant seated at the planned depth with centered placement within the ridge.
